Stacey Edwards
QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, QLD, Australia
- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Professor Stacey Edwards is an NHMRC Leadership Investigator Fellow and Head of the Functional Cancer Genomics Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer. She completed her PhD in molecular biology at the University of Queensland (UQ), followed by postdoctoral training at the Institute of Cancer Research in London and UQ, supported by an NHMRC CJ Martin Fellowship. She was recruited to QIMR Berghofer in 2013, where she established a multidisciplinary research group focused on identifying new breast and ovarian cancer genes using molecular approaches. Her research integrates genetics, chromatin and transcriptome profiling, computational genomics and molecular biology to dissect the complexity of cancer development. Her work has accelerated the translation of genetic discoveries into biological insights, which will ultimately lead to improved strategies for cancer prevention and treatment.
