- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Dr Ruth Pidsley is an early career researcher specialising in prostate cancer epigenetics. Ruth completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences at Oxford University in 2006, and went on to an MSc/PhD at King’s College London (2008-2013). Here she investigated the role of DNA methylation in the human brain and developed new tools to analyse DNA methylation data. In 2013 Ruth joined Prof. Susan Clark’s research group at the Garvan Institute to study epigenetic regulation in the prostate cancer microenvironment. She was awarded a CINSW Early Career Fellowship (2015-2017) and NHMRC project grant (2016-2018) to develop the translational aspects of this work. Her current research focus is on developing microenvironment-based methylation biomarkers in prostate cancer.
