Michael Inouye
University of Melbourne, VIC, Australia
- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Dr Inouye is principal investigator of the Medical Systems Biology (MSB) group at the University of Melbourne, where he is currently an NHMRC R.D. Wright and National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow.
The MSB group aims to alleviate the burden of human disease by using its inter-disciplinary strengths in statistics, computation and bioscience to leverage the latest genomic/biomolecular profiling technologies. MSB both develops analytical approaches and applies these methods to broad research interests including (a) design and validation of genomic predictors that can support diagnosis of celiac disease and other complex diseases, (b) discovery and characterisation of molecular networks associated with cardiovascular disease and mortality, and (c) characterisation of the early life microbiome and its relationship with immune system development and respiratory disease.
