Children's Medical Research Institute
Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) in Sydney was Australia’s first paediatric research institute, and today operates world-leading research programs in the areas of telomeres, embryology and stem cells, gene therapy, and neurobiology. CMRI recently opened The ACRF International Centre for the Proteome of Human Cancer (ProCan), which will conduct industrial-scale proteomic profiling studies on 70,000 cancers of all types from all over the world. ProCan was the first official international collaborator in the Cancer Moonshot program, and the facility’s efforts to link cancer genomes and proteomes (proteogenomics) are essential to accelerating cancer research globally.
